Legal Aid Bureau

The mission of the Legal Aid Bureau is to provide quality legal aid and advice to persons of limited means. We are governed by the Legal Aid and Advice Act, and are located at the URA Centre (East Wing). We provide legal advice and assistance in a range of areas. These include divorces, deeds of separations, road accidents, adoption, wills and probate.

You may pay contribution, costs and other fees due to the Legal Aid Bureau with eNETS.

The Assigned Solicitors of the Legal Aid Bureau
The members of the bar who volunteer their time as panel solicitors have been a key pillar of the Legal Aid scheme since its inception.

For a better understanding of the position and role under the law of Assigned Solicitors acting in legal aid cases, read the The Assigned Solicitor's Guide, which sets out, in question and answer format, the relevant legal provisions and practical matters that arise in the work of Assigned Solicitors.

To sign up as an Assigned Solicitor, fill in and send in this form.
